Delayed Gifted Subs on Twitch: A Step-by-Step Guide

As a subscriber or gift recipient to a Twitch streamer, you may want to access their Discord server but don't know where to start. The process is relatively straightforward, and in this article, we'll guide you through the steps required to connect your Twitch account to your Discord account and join the streamer's server.

Firstly, ensure that your Twitch account is connected to your Discord account by following the instructions outlined under 'How to Connect your Twitch Channel to Discord.' This will allow you to access the streamer's Discord server. If you have Rule Screening set up for your server, new users can bypass this requirement and join the server if they are subscribed through Twitch.

Once you've connected your accounts, you'll notice that the system has automatically created a new permissions role specifically for Twitch subs after integration. This role will be named 'Twitch Subscriber,' along with tier-based roles such as 'Twitch Subscriber: Tier 1,' 'Twitch Subscriber: Tier 2,' and 'Twitch Subscriber: Tier 3.' You can rename these roles, adjust their permissions under Server Settings > Roles, and even change the colors of the role.

To manage your subscribers list, you can run a manual Sync or set up a grace period for users until they lose the subscriber role. Additionally, you can kick a user if the subscriber role is lost. Keep in mind that your subscribers list is synced automatically by the system.

After integrating your Twitch channel, you can edit your integration settings by pressing on Server Settings and then heading to Integrations. You can also right-click on the server name and navigate to your server. Once there, press on the server name to pull up a dropdown menu.

To get started, you first need to connect your Twitch channel to your Discord server following the 'How to Connect your Twitch Channel to Discord' steps above. Once your Twitch is connected to your Discord, you can now integrate your Twitch into your server. You have two options: create a sub-only Discord server for your Twitch channel or create a sub-only channel (or two) in your server.

To connect your Twitch account to your Discord account, press on the Twitch icon tile and log in to your Twitch account under User Settings > Connections. Finally, open up the Discord app, access the cog wheel next to your username, and follow the 'How to Connect your Twitch Channel to Discord' instructions.

By following these steps, you can join your favorite streamers' Discord servers as a subscriber or gift recipient and engage with them in real-time. For Twitch Partner and Affiliate streamers, integrating their Twitch channel into their Discord server allows subscribers to chat and chill together.
